We are a local community FIRST robotics team comprised of students from a number of Reno, Sparks, and Carson City High Schools. We are partnering with local businesses and organizations to mentor future leaders of our community through the First Robotics Competition (FRC) (https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/frc). Be sure to visit our sponsor page!
FRC makes designing and building robots a fascinating real-world experience, rewarding students for creating community partnerships, designing excellence, and practicing gracious professionalism. FRC ignites young minds, and encourages innovation and entrepreneurship by providing a competitive sports platform for robotics where students work hand-in-hand with engineering professionals.
This is our fourth year as the First Young Robotic Engineers (FYRE) team, and there are many opportunities for companies like yours to be involved including sponsorships, mentoring, and equipment donation. One of the first steps in continuing our team is to secure financial backing that will allow us to not only purchase needed supplies to build the robot, but also to do community outreach as well as to participate in the local regional competition, in Las Vegas in March. To be successful, we need to raise a total of approximately $25,000 from generous sponsors such as you. In return for your sponsorship, we will put your company’s logo on our team t-shirts, website, robot, and banner. You will also be invited to attend our kickoff event in January, to see our progress during build season and attend the regional competition. In addition, your donation will help teach our team members workplace skills that will be useful in Northern Nevada’s emerging tech market.
If you would like to donate, please email Kerry for more details.
Thank you for your generous support.
